Hi, I'm Emma — founder of The Party Pirate.

I started The Party Pirate in 2012, driven by two things: frustration with the difficulty of sourcing genuinely good quality party supplies, and a desire for work that fitted around raising a young family. As a mum of two daughters growing up in Bath, I wanted a one-stop shop that made party planning easier — without defaulting to cheap plastic that goes straight in the bin the next day.

With a background in graphic and web design, I've always had a strong eye for quality, detail and what actually works. After more than a decade of planning, designing and attending children's parties, I've developed a genuine feel for what kids love and what parents actually need. That experience informs every buying decision I make for the store.

Bath has been home for our family for generations, and The Party Pirate is proudly rooted here. All our stock is held at our Bath warehouse, with click and collect available — so if you're local, you're welcome to collect in person. Either way, you're dealing directly with me, not a faceless team.
