Cupcakes are always a party table hit and are a great alternative if you don’t want a big cake to have to cut up as well. If you’re not a confident baker or are pushed for time, we’ve listed our top 10 favourite ideas for creating fabulous eye-catching quick and easy cupcake toppers.

1 Gold Coins

Our best selling party theme has to be Pirates, so we had to show you this great idea for a quick and easy pirate cupcake. You just need to add a gold coin (chocolate or plastic) and a little pirate flag, for a quick and effective cupcake.

2 Straw Candles

This is so simple but has real wow factory, you could even get the kids to help with this one. You just need some paper straws (pick a colour that matches you party decor) and some yellow tissue. Cut the straws into shorter lengths and twist a small piece of tissue into the top for the flame.

3 Mini Party Hats

This simple little party hats are great for decorating cupcakes but you could also string them together into a pretty garland. They are just made from any left over cupcake cases you have and coloured pom poms, you could make them all the same but we think they look best as a random assortment.
