Unicorn Party

Our eldest had decided she would like a unicorn party for her 8th birthday this year. We had seen lots of beautiful picture of other unicorn parties on Pinterest, but most of them seems to go for a rainbow colour scheme and we wanted something a bit more luxurious and girly so we opted for a peach and pink colour scheme with gold accents. We made the invites ages in advance and had great fun creating them. We found large white matchboxes which we lined with bright coloured tissue paper and then filled with little party treats - a party blower, a balloon, a sweet, some stickers, a sprinkling of confetti and we designed vintage style fairground tickets with all the party details printed on them. You can buy your Unicorn Party Supplies from the Party Pirate store. Here is just a sample of some of the key products we used to style this party. We held the party at our home, so decorated the main party room with lots of pretty coloured streamers, tissue pom poms and confetti filled balloons. The table was laid up to match our colour scheme with a gold spot table cover and pink diamond plates. We made name place settings by stamping names onto brown luggage tags and attaching to a candy necklace wrapped round a gold star napkin. We completed the table with little glass bottles with gold star straws for the drinks. We started the party with a few craft activities, we decorated cupcakes and made bracelets with unicorn beads. Then we moved the party out into the garden for the main event. We had hired a pony as a special surprise guest. She was certainly a huge hit with all the girls, and the birthday girl was completely lost for words. The pony stayed with us for an hour which was plenty of time for all the girls to have a couple of rides each. The pony was from Bristol Pony Parties. Then we rounded off the party with our fun unicorn piñata. Then there was just enough time for birthday cake and party bags. The following supplies that we used for our party are all available from The Party Pirate store.
